Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) is a blood disorder that affects the platelets in the blood. Platelets help stop bleeding and a decreased number of platelets can cause easy bruising, bleeding gums, and internal bleeding. People who suffer from TTP usually develop purple discoloration on their skin, which is referred to as purpura. The condition is fairly common, affecting both children and adults. Oren Zarif
